Founded in 2018 by a group of Nepali origin journalists in USA, INNJA, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization provides a platform and Encourages Ethical Journalism.
Guided by the core values of Integrity, accountability, respect and creativity, INNJA envisions a world in which the Nepali origin journalists will demonstrate the high standard journalism ethics to show respect and humanity.
INNJA works in Asia, Australia, Europe, the Americas and Africa.
INNJA’s mission is to connect, educate and inspire Nepali origin journalists around the world to enhance high standard journalism..
INNJA, a global network of Nepali origin journalists that drives innovation from the ground up to enhance journalism- resulting in meaningful and measurable change and to promote for the public benefit high ethical standards in journalism, based on principles of truth and accuracy, independence, fairness and impartiality, humanity and accountability by the provision of education, training and networking of journalists and the publication of useful research materials.
In order to achieve its goals, INNJA has embarked on fundraising drive through various donor organizations. We think that journalism and community should move together for the benefit of our community members. Besides promoting professional journalism, we are also aiming to raise funds to help our community-based organizations in the promotion of Nepali culture; and training and capacity building on social work through INNJA networking program.
We think that a strong partnership and community participation is needed to implement these activities. We encourage all nonprofit and consulting agencies to submit their expression of interest to work with INNJA.
